A Favorite Shoe for Fall: Jack Rogers Marley Mule
I'm not generally a fan of Jack Rogers shoes - can you say ubiquitous? However, I am totally digging the 70's vibe of this Marley Mule. Will be wearing it with my MiH Marrakesh jeans and embroidered tunic and hearing the "Charlie's Angels" theme song in my head.

Global Traveler
I guess we've retired the un-PC term "tribal". Now we call it "global traveler" and to be fair, we do seem to take the traveler part seriously. No longer focused primarily on the prints and colors of Sub-Sarahan Africa, we see embroidery styles from Marrakesh, furs vests from Mongolia, and high desert colors from Arizona. This trend overlaps the 70's trend, the Western trend, and the military trend. Look for high desert colors such as dusty pink, coral, olive, and tobacco. Embroidery and animal prints abound. Look for the use of bone or wood for jewelry.

My Bag for Spring
Ok, it may only be January 20th, but I think I have found my 'it' bag for Spring. Just need to decide whether I want it in black or rosegold. Oh well, have a week or two to figure it out.

The Opposite of Minimalism
Last week, I noticed that all the items I was coveting on Net-a-Porter were all beautifully streamlined minimalist pieces. This week I notice that I am seriously drawn to all things roses. Bedazzled roses. Bedazzled roses on black lace. In other words the opposite of minimalism. Hopefully, I can work some styling magic and find a way to work both trends into my spring style.
